I am located in Central Pennsylvania. I love all birds but decided only to raise Silkies. My Silkies are high quality and not hatchery stock. I have bought from some of the top breeders to acquire my breeding stock. Will continue to do so to improve my stock or bring in new blood. I fed the highest quality feed & grains, fresh veggies and vegetation along with fresh water daily. They are also offered grit and oyster shell to help with digestion and calcium for strong egg shells. I add apple cider vinegar to the water to aid in healthy birds. I feed crumbles of high quality and high protein. Keeps my adults healthy and happy and to end up with strong healthy chicks when they hatch. I feeding this high protein diet for the rest of their lives or as long as they live with me.

I am not a hatchery so do not deal in large volumes for hatching eggs. And with having Silkies we know they like to go broody A LOT! So with that said I strive to get your order out in a timely manner as long as the girls are laying. Once eggs are paid for I try to ship within 7-9 days. Usually before that but just in case I am backed up on orders. I will let you know if hens have gone broody or molting and/or orders ahead of yours that would delay your order.

To give all the advantage to a good hatch, let your post office know you are expecting eggs. Have them

call you to pick them up instead of riding around in a hot truck all day and possibly aiding in an unsuccessful hatch. This way you avoid the risk of extreme heat or cold on your eggs.

When leaving feedback be sure to consider you are only considering the packing of your eggs, shipping time (time you order to time of shipping) and communication. Not the success of your hatch as I can not guarantee hatchability due to many circumstances

beyond my control. Such as Before purchasing shipped eggs for incubation you need to understand that hatching shipped eggs is a gamble. You may get a great

hatch, or have none hatch at all. A good thing to remember when purchasing hatching eggs, "Don't spend more than your willing to lose".

I take great care in packing the eggs. The eggs are nested in fine shredded paper and then sealed in a paper carton, taped and then bubble wrapped. Then placed in a priority box(s) with either packing peanuts, shredded paper, or more bubble wrap to protect in case PO is a bit ruff with them. I found that this method works best for me. They will be shipped via priority mail with delivery confirmation, 2-3 day shipping time (but USPS does not guarantee 2-3 days).
